CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Based on an agreed decision at the Spring 2023 IASAS Board meeting schools can opt to attend or host exchange/invitational mini meets/tournaments based on their own particular needs regards calendaring of suitable dates and when invitationals fit schools schedules. Coordination/availability of other IASAS schools, time out of class for students and or coaches and consideration of the amount of local competition a particular sport has are all factors that are considered as to whether a team(s) are approved to travel for exchanges/invitationals.
The decision on exchanges/invitationals calendaring is done with the Athletic/Activities Directors' at the November IASAS Board Meeting each year for budgetary purposes for the upcoming SY and the dates/venues are confirmed at the Spring meeting with the HS Principals in attendance.
SY 24-25 Invitationals: Some teams who have a distinct lack of local competition will be allowed to attend an invitational. Not all teams will attend an invitational event each year. Some teams will attend one year and others may be selected to attend the following year. It will depend and the criteria stated above will be taken into account each year.
